The entrance has 5 m of depth. Inside there is up to 3.9 m of depth. At night the entrance is marked by a red light, Fl(4)R 8s, at the end of the Poniente breakwater and a green light, FlG 5s, at “Dique de abrigo, Muelle interior, Escollera de cierre”. Today the tide rises and falls 0.6 m at Sotogrande, the nearest reference port.
