Sources
Where the data comes from
Each page brings together what several sources say about a harbour. When they disagree, the most recent official figure wins; then what the harbour itself publishes on its website; then OpenStreetMap. The harbour's position is the one most sources agree on: the official harbour layers, OpenStreetMap and the lights in the Spanish List of Lights. At the foot of each page are the sources it used, with their dates.
We write the text on each page ourselves from that data. If a number is impossible, we don't show it; if we don't know, we say so. BerthDB is not an official nautical publication: before entering a harbour, check the charts, the notices to mariners and the harbour itself on VHF.
