At night the entrance is marked by a red light, QR 1s, at “RÍA DE ASTILLERO, Puerto deportivo MARINA DE SANTANDER, Dique Morro” and a green light, QG 1s, at the end of the Escollera breakwater. Today the tide rises and falls 3.2 m at Santander, the nearest reference port.
