Access and approach
At night the entrance is marked by a red light, Fl(3)R 9s, at the N end of the Levante quay and a green light, Fl(3)G 9s, at the W end of the south quay. Today the tide rises and falls 3.3 m at Avilés (San Juan de Nieva), the nearest reference port.
